AIM Press Release

AIM1 - "Absolute Indian Metal 1"is the first album being released on the
"eMP (eMusicPost.com) Records" label.
The album is produced by “MusicMan” Mihir, (owner of eMusicPost.com and eMP Records) and “Zomb” (Frontman of the band Metakix).

It is a metal compilation and has 16 brilliant bands on it.
The bands are:
Amidst the Chaos - Mumbai
Sceptre - Mumbai
Asura - Bangalore
Threinody - Bangalore
Scribe - Mumbai
Sledge - Hyderabad
Redemption - Mumbai
Nerverek - Chennai
Grungy Morphins - Darjeeling
Spitfire - Bangalore
Brute Force - Pune
Narsil - Delhi
Devoid - Mumbai
Metakix - Mumbai
Synaps - Bangalore
Exhumation - Mumbai
Spitfire - Bangalore

As you can see, the bands are from across the country. There was no competition/elimination done to select these bands. It was purely first come first served basis and there was just one criteria.
The bands had to be good...and their recording had to be good.
If the band had quality...they were in. We already have many more bands that have sent in their demos and they will eventually be showcased on AIM2...AIM3 and so on.

The album is basically intended to help promote these bands and give them a chance to be on a well produced compilation. After receiving the songs from the bands, the album was finally mastered by sound engineer Fali Damania, who in our opinion is in a class of his own.
He's done a brilliant job with the final music quality of the cd and we can quite confidently claim that the production of this album is of international standards.

The album was primarily sponsored by Prof. Rooshikumar Pandya, a man acknowledged by professionals in the industry as a communicator, trainer, and management expert par excellence. From Fortune 500 companies in the USA and Canada to the best known organizations in India, Prof. Pandya has trained over fifty thousand people in all aspects of communication and behavioral skills. Transport operators, shop floor workers, information technology experts, pharmaceutical salesmen, doctors, bankers, top ranking chairmen and chief executive officers... you name it and they've all seen the
"Rooshikumar magic at work!"
His support to the album made it possible for us to make the album a reality. (To know more about him see http://www.rooshikumar-pandya.com )

The album is also sponsored and supported MDC (Music Distribution Company) and Onstage, two of the leading music instruments companies in the country.
We would like to thank Mr.Mukesh Bhargava and Mr. Jasbeer Siingh for their support to the rock scene and to us.

The online support for the album is given to us by www.mosh.in . The website offers Indian bands an area where they can put up their profiles, their songs for listening or download and is a good way for bands to get their music across to people.
The album was obviously promoted on eMusicPost.com and we will continue to provide an area where bands can talk about themselves and get feedback on their work.

In a first of it's kind collaboration, we are extremely pleased to mention that the album will be promoted at the Cafe Coffee Day outlets.

The album will also be available for sale through the net on www.musicyogi.com. This we feel will allow it to reach out to many cities which may otherwise not have access to such albums.

We want the album to be heard by people across the country...because we believe in the talent of these bands.
We want to help promote the bands and the concept that Rock Musicians are not just kids who make noise. Some of the finest musicians in the country are rock musicians.

Also on a personal note, I would like to mention that...just because you don't understand it, that doesn't mean that a certain music is bad. I don't understand Hindustani Classical music...but I would never say that it is bad. It is my loss that I don't see it's beauty. I am hoping that people, especially non metal-heads who listen to this album will also keep an open mind about the bands and their talent.

As I've said before this is the first project by eMP Records and we'll be launching many more albums and compilations in the years to come. In the pipeline however are albums of the bands Metakix, Devoid, Infernal Wrath and Resonance.

Thank you. Hope you enjoy the album
Support Indian Rock.
